Ingredients
- 1 lb. fresh asparagus
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- Dash salt and pepper
- 1 roll puff pastry
- 8 oz. shredded parmesan cheese
- 1 egg beaten with 1 tbsp. milk
- 1 tbsp. Italian seasoning
- Abby J’s Smokin’ Hot Sauce (optional)
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll the puff pastry out to a large rectangle and cut into 9 squares.
- Toss the asparagus in olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Place 4 or 5 stems on each one and add the parmesan cheese.
- Lift two opposite corners of the puff pastry squares and wrap them around the asparagus and press to seal. Brush puff pastry with egg wash.
- Sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
- Bake until the puff pastry is golden and puffed for about 15 minutes.
- Add Abby J’s Smokin’ Hot Sauce as a condiment to elevate the flavors!
- Serve immediately.
